We use Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes. These dyes are the most permanent of all dyes. They are unique in that the dye actually forms a bond with the fabrics cellulose/protein molecule. Once that bond has formed the dye has actually become part of the fabric leaving less to travel down the drain. Once the fabric has been dyed and "set" it won't fade with repeated washes.
On average we can dye up to 5 yards in one continuous piece. On occasion we can do more depending on the fabric selected. For the heavier knits our average is 4 yards. For example if you were to order 7 yards of one fabric in one colour you would recieve a cut of 4yds and a cut of 3yds.
